Flat-rate TV mounting across Greenwich, Darien, Westport, Stamford, and all of Fairfield County. Standard walls, above fireplace, Samsung Frame, plaster, brick, and wire concealment. One visit. Done right the first time.
What We Do
TV mounting is not one job. The wall, the TV, the mount type, and the wire situation each change the approach entirely. Here is how we handle each scenario in Fairfield County homes.
Fixed or tilt bracket mounted to wall studs with lag bolts rated for over 200 lbs. Level, secure, correct height. TVs 32 inches to 85 inches. The most common install across Fairfield County.
From $199The most technically demanding TV mount in the home. We address heat clearance, correct tilt angle to keep viewing comfortable, and wire routing through or around the fireplace surround. Done in one visit.
From $249The Frame requires the inner VESA holes, a Slim Fit or micro-gap mount, and correct magnetic contact engagement. Standard mounts installed wrong leave the Frame an inch off the wall. We do this weekly.
From $249Corner mounting, swing-out for flexible seating, articulating arms for multi-use rooms. Full-motion mounts extend up to 18 inches and multiply load force by 3x. Stud anchoring is non-negotiable.
Quoted on siteIn-wall cable routing for drywall walls using UL-listed in-wall power kits that meet electrical code. Paintable raceway for plaster, brick, and concrete where in-wall is not an option. Clean finish every time.
Quoted by scopePlaster and lath in pre-1960 Fairfield County homes. Brick and stone fireplace surrounds. Exterior masonry walls. Metal studs in condos and newer builds. Each surface requires a different anchor approach. We evaluate before drilling.
Quoted on siteWhat Goes Wrong
Most TV mounting problems are not about tools or effort. They are about decisions made before the first drill hole. Here is what we see and fix on a regular basis in Fairfield County.
Above a standard fireplace mantel, your viewing angle is 35 to 45 degrees above eye level. THX and SMPTE define comfortable viewing at 0 to 15 degrees above eye level. Extended watching at 35 degrees causes neck strain, eye fatigue, and eventually a TV you stop using as your primary screen.
Drywall screws hold 5 to 10 lbs each without studs. A 65-inch TV weighs 55 to 70 lbs. A full-motion mount extended 18 inches multiplies the effective load by a factor of three or more. Wrong anchors do not fail immediately. They loosen over weeks and fail at the worst moment.
A gas fireplace produces 20,000 to 35,000 BTUs per hour. That is enough heat to warm a 1,400-square-foot home. Extended exposure to those temperatures causes dead pixels, melted components, and a voided manufacturer warranty. Tilt mounts and correct clearance are required, not optional.
The Frame's outer VESA holes are recessed and designed for the Samsung No Gap Wall Mount only. Standard mounts attached to those holes leave the TV sitting an inch off the wall. The one-connect cable does not route correctly. The magnetic contacts do not engage. We fix this regularly.
Wall Types
Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, and Westport have a high proportion of pre-1960 homes with plaster walls. Newer Stamford and Norwalk condos use metal studs. Here is how we handle each surface.
Standard install. Stud finder used on every job. Lag bolts into wood studs rated for 250 lbs each. No drywall anchors on any TV mount.
Plaster alone will not hold a TV. We locate studs using a multi-step process and use correct anchors. Plywood backing plate method used when stud spacing does not align with VESA holes.
Masonry drill bits and sleeve anchors rated for the load. Correct clearance from the firebox. More time than drywall but a completely secure install.
Common in Stamford and Norwalk condos. Metal studs are hollow and require toggle bolts rated specifically for metal stud walls. Standard wood-stud hardware is not appropriate.
