Bulbs In. Detectors Working.

RESIDENTIAL  ·  COMMERCIAL  ·  SAME-DAY AVAILABLE

★★★★★

Fairfield County, CT & Westchester, NY

That bulb in your 18-foot foyer ceiling. The smoke detector chirping at 3am. The recessed can above the stairs you can't reach without a ladder you don't own. We handle all of it, residential and commercial, on one visit, without the electrician markup.

Two Things. Done Right.

Bulbs and batteries: the two maintenance tasks that seem simple until you're standing at the bottom of a 16-foot ceiling or pulling a chirping detector off the wall at midnight.

What CT Requires and What We See

Most homes in Fairfield County are under-protected. We see it on every visit.

10 yrs

Detector Lifespan

Smoke detectors expire after 8 to 10 years regardless of whether they still chirp when tested. Sensors degrade. We check manufacture dates on every visit.

6+

Detectors for a 3BR Home

CT requires one per level, one inside each bedroom, and one outside each sleeping area. Most homes we walk into have 2 to 3. That's not enough.

100%

Homes with CO Exposure

Any home with a gas appliance, attached garage, or fireplace requires CO detection. Older homes frequently have gaps. We find and fix them.

Calls We Get Every Week

If yours sounds familiar, you already know what to do next.

The 18-Foot Foyer

Chandelier over the entry had three burned-out bulbs. The ladder needed for the job wasn't something a homeowner keeps around. We were in and out in 25 minutes.

The Chirping That Wouldn't Stop

They'd replaced the battery twice. Still chirping. Turned out to be a hardwired unit with a dead backup battery (different swap process) and the unit was 12 years old. Replaced the whole thing.

Closing Checklist

Real estate attorney flagged detector compliance during contract. We walked the home, found two missing bedroom units and three expired detectors, brought everything to code in one visit. Closing stayed on schedule.

Office Building, Monthly Plan

Property manager was paying an electrician every time a bulb went out in a 4-story office. We set up a monthly walk-through: every floor, every fixture, every detector tested. One flat rate, no surprises.

Fairfield County Offices & Buildings

Most commercial properties handle bulb and detector maintenance reactively. Something fails, a call goes out, an electrician charges $125 to $200/hour for a 10-minute job. There's a better model.

We offer recurring commercial maintenance visits, monthly or quarterly depending on property size, covering the full building in one efficient visit.

  • Full property walk to identify burned-out or flickering bulbs
  • Replace all flagged bulbs from truck stock (T8, A19, PAR30/PAR38, candelabra, MR16)
  • Test every smoke and CO detector in the building
  • Replace low batteries on all units
  • Flag end-of-life detectors for replacement
  • Written service report after every visit

Get a Commercial Quote

Tell us your property type, approximate square footage, and number of floors. We'll put together a service plan that makes more sense than reactive calls.

Works best for: office buildings, restaurants, retail, medical practices, multi-tenant properties.

Common Questions

If yours isn't here, just call. We answer fast.

Can you replace bulbs in vaulted or high ceilings? +
Yes, that's one of the most common reasons people call us. We carry the right ladders and extension equipment for recessed cans, vaulted ceiling pendants, foyer chandeliers, and two-story great rooms. No rental, no risk on your end.
My smoke detector is still chirping after I replaced the battery. What's happening? +
Usually a residual charge issue (most common), bad battery contact, an end-of-life unit, or a different unit than the one you replaced. We diagnose on the spot and fix it: either reset, swap the battery correctly, or replace the unit. We carry Kidde and First Alert on the truck.
How many smoke detectors does my Connecticut home need? +
At minimum: one on every level (including basement), one inside each bedroom, and one outside each sleeping area. A 3-bedroom home needs at least 6. We do compliance walk-throughs and can bring the home fully up to CT code in a single visit.
Do you replace the whole detector or just the battery? +
Both, whatever the unit needs. If it's a battery issue, we replace the battery and reset. If the unit is past its 8 to 10 year lifespan or not responding correctly, we replace the whole unit. We carry the most common residential units on the truck.
Do you do commercial properties? +
Yes. We offer recurring commercial maintenance plans for offices, restaurants, retail spaces, and multi-tenant buildings across Fairfield County. Monthly or quarterly visits, with a written report after every service. Call to discuss your property.
How soon can you come? +
Same-day availability most days. If a chirping detector is keeping you up or a dark bulb is creating a hazard, call us. We prioritize those. (475) 500-7126.
